Samuel Smith Old Brewery – Apricot Ale (Fruit)

  • 5.10% ABV
  • This would be good but it is a Samuel Smith and I really dont like anything from Sam Smith. It is very apricoty (I amde that up). But it also very thick tasting. Thick like chalk water or like a glass of 2 day dead hooker blood. Congealed thick. On the plus side it is also kind of sweet. OHhhHHhh wait that isnt a plus, it is another gross. It isnt Belgian sweet but it is sweet enough that I dont like it.

Clown Shoes – Pimp (American Brown Ale)

  • 10.00% ABV
  • For a Brown Ale this is actually pretty good. It has a silky smooth taste that all Brown’s should have but so very many dont. It goes down smooth and has a very butter smooth taste that all most makes up for the the fact that this is a Brown. I dont like Brown;s but this is almost OK. I still dont like them.
  • – Dont buy (unless you like Browns)

Dogfish Head Craft Brewery – Positive Contact (Witbier)

  • 9.00% ABV
  • First off, I tasted this and was enjoying it before I read up on what it is. I liked it but was hesitant because of the ABV. It is pretty good and a little intriguing. I wasnt sure of the style but it is lighter, go figure it is a Wit. Any way there is a whole lot more going on here, I am not going to go into it but it is pretty good and worth trying. I like it and I am totally happy I tried it and so should you… But the style isnt for me.
  • – Dont buy again… (try it once at least).

Old Dominion Brewing Company – Double D (American Double)

  • 10.00% ABV
  • This is pretty much everything I hate about Imperial’s. It has a retardedly high ABV and that disgusting sweetness that comes from a poorly made high gravity beer. The only up side is that the taste is bad enough that it is numbing my taste buds to the point that they are misfiring. I want to make sure that I am not being to subtle… This is not a good beer.
  • – Dont buy.

Terrapin Beer Company – Samurai Krunkles (American IPA)

  • 7.10% ABV
  • Terrapin is probably as crazy as Dogfish when it comes to brewing strange ass beers. This one is probably one of the stranger ones I have had in a while. It is full of green tea, jasmine rice, jasmine and ginseng. All in all it works really well in a far east kind of way. It is pretty light tasting and more of a pale ale than an IPA.

DC Brau Brewing Company – Penn Quarter Porter (American Porter)

  • 5.50% ABV
  • I cant explain what the hell is wrong with me. Every time I try a good Porter I always say I am going to drink more of them because well, they are awesome. But for some dumb ass reason I forget and a couple of months go by before I have another one. This is another Porter that makes me want to try more. It isnt out of this world great but it is a very good and true to the style. A tiny bit chocolaty and a touch of smoke. All in all its pretty good.

Terrapin Beer Company – Monk’s Revenge (Belgian IPA)

  • 9.60% ABV
  • I can taste the Belgian yeast all up in this fucker. I can taste it and I dont like it. It is so close to being a good beer I think I am trying to make it taste better in my head. But it really isnt all that good. It doesnt have the overpowering sweetnees that I despise but it is sitting there in the background. Enough so that I cant enjoy it.

New Belgium Brewing – Red Hoptober (American Amber)

  • 6.00% ABV
  • This is pretty god damned good which is odd for two reasons. 1: It is a New Belgium and 2: It is an Amber. I have had a couple of good Amber’s but on the whole I am not really a fan of the style. I hope that this doesn’t mean that this is so odd that it isn’t even close to the style but what ever… I like it.
