I love the fact that these ass-hats in Massachusetts acknowledge that they are, in fact, Masshole’s. It takes a big man to admit how shitty they are as a people, and Masshole’s are shitty people. I say embrace that shit and they did. I have had a couple of Wormtown beers thanks to my Boston born and breed co-worker and I love him for it. He is a hugely retarded Masshole. And I want to kill him! The only thing that stays his execution is that he keeps bringing me awesome beers. This one is pretty good in so much that it is a perfect Heffe. Blah blah blah… It smells good it tastes fruity. What ever, it isnt awesome but it is a awesome Heffe.
I just finished a super bitter beer so I am sure I am missing a lot of the nuances going on with this but… It tastes like a hefe? It is good but I am not picking anything out extraordinary. I want to try it out before I drink anything else in the same evening to give it a fair chance.
This is actually pretty good. It is pretty much hit or miss trying one of the Trader Joe’s beers. Normally you can tell by who the actual brewer is how good the beer is, but this time it is actually Trader Joe’s. Or at least they say it is. Any way it is pretty good and while it didnt jiz in my pants after tasting it I do like it.
WOW! Super middle of the road no taste superstar. For real there is no god damn taste to this beer. I mean, you know you are drinking a beer but damn it! A Budweiser has more taste to it. I am not joking, a Bud has more taste to it.
It is very Hefeweizen tasting, no question about that. I like Hefe’s but I am starting to realize that I dont like most German Hefe’s. It tastes way to malty to me which normally is a good thing but it isnt working here. It is missing that citrus taste that the American brews have.
Well you cant go wrong with Schneider and this proves my point. Pretty much (in my opinion) a perfect Hefe. Of course I mean perfect in the truest sense to the style, so while it is awesome there isn’t anything that really stands out. I dont mean that as a criticism but more as a statement. It is awesome but dont look for anything out of the ordinary… It is a REALLY good Hefe tho.
I like what Butternuts is doing with their brews. They take a style and instead of going the normal American route of magnifying everything by 10 they kind of balance them out. I dont know what any of that means to you but this is a good beer. I would still grab one of the German standards over it but, I will be happy with this one. This is an excellent beer for a hot summer day.
Well it certainly smells good, and as for as the taste goes it isn’t to bad for a Hefe. OK it awesome for an American Hefe, it is probably one of the better ones have had. But what the hell does that say about the Americans??? This is the closest to a good German Hefe as I have had, and while it is good as shit it is way damn harder to find than a German.
It was pretty good. Once again nothing spectacular… OK maybe I am being harsh because of the Organic label but hippies piss me off. What ever… this isnt horrible, but I also can get a better tasting Heff from, well any where…
First off, just as a note: For the last 3 or 4 years this has been by far and away my favorite beer. For real, M1 would drive to the next town over just to find it. I fookin love this beer. Now for the bad part… I havnt had a Shiner sense I started trying all of these new beers and I was kind of scared to try it after having some of the best beers in the world (or at least the US), turns out I was right. I am not really digging it. I dont hate it but it isnt doing anything for me… I am now sad…
I am always partial to Hefeweizen’s so I am not surprised that I like this one. What does surprise me is how much I like it. It has just enough of a citrus taste to make you pay attention to what is going on.
